It is the complete version available, even for those with broken access, for free. I don’t understand their motivation. Perhaps they believe it won’t generate any profit and are unsure of the outcome.

Incorrect, Rex... pirates receive it for free, but it won't be a genuine version and after the initial free period they'll have to buy it again.
