Hey there! I'm new to networking despite being around computers all my life. I'm getting ready to switch to Android soon, but the green bubbles are giving me trouble. Most of my friends tease me about it, so I discovered a handy tool called weServer that needs port forwarding. I have some questions about it, especially since I'm using a fioptics modem (which can act as a router but is turned off) and two Apple Airport Express routers. I've tried forwarding ports on the airports multiple times without success and wondered if I should also open the modem's ports. It seems like a straightforward issue, but Google hasn't been very helpful so far. Thanks for your time!

Ensure the modem doesn’t require opening a port. Your typical setup uses just one router, with the other configured in AP mode.

Apple seems confused and lacks an AP mode, yet the alternative is configured to connect to a Wi-Fi network. I haven’t experienced any link problems with this arrangement.

Avoid connecting anything to the wan port, as it won't work with native mode. What is the network diagram?

I understand you're having trouble. Can you clarify what you need?

Create a network diagram showing one airport router connected via a cable to the WAN port.

Both devices are connected via Ethernet on the WAN port. You should relocate the secondary router to the other port, which is clearly marked as "ethernet" with arrows indicating its position.

Create a network diagram. Only one device should be connected to the WAN port. You mentioned two airports—why is that? Was it meant to improve Wi-Fi coverage?

I noticed a small adjustment needed. The first setup uses the wan port connected, while the second is powered via Wi-Fi.
