The problem appears to occur regularly, around every hour. I’ll attempt to load a page and it will briefly loop for about 20 seconds before finishing. While waiting, my Steam chat also disconnects. I’m using a wired connection straight to the modem. Could you help identify the root cause?

Check if you're connected to a wireless network and see if you can reach your router through it.

I haven't attempted it before. I'll give it another shot next time it arises.

Which gadgets are connected to your network? Are Quality of Service features activated in your router's configuration?

I saw my cat gnaw on my Ethernet cord... a new Cat6 arrived today and hasn't caused any problems so far. Maybe that was the problem?
