Since I received my gigabyte 16 xe4 in March 2022, internet performance has been inconsistent. I've used Google search and other methods without success. The system was factory reset multiple times but didn't improve. Updating background apps and Windows still didn't help. Even with the factory USB hub, Ethernet connections never reached speeds close to 50mb. My current Wi-Fi, which is 7 years old, caps at 450mb per channel—wanting an upgrade but it's not faulty. On a 100mb download, it manages around 20mb using the 5GHz band. It works okay during online games like Black Ops 3 as long as ping stays between 150-200 ms. Unless the server is strong, speeds remain below what my Android phone can handle in the same area as the laptop.
