Hello!

Recently, following a two to three-week break from Fortnite and after several updates, I began playing again, but I experienced some sort of lag or freezing in the game. I examined my frame rate and ping, which were normal. I simply want to understand why it's stuttering. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Provide comprehensive hardware details. You probably have extended display durations, meaning the length of time each image remains visible—this can lead to pauses and interruptions.

What’s likely happening is your GPU is bottlenecking your cpu, hence the stutters. I have a ryzen 3 2200g and an RX 570 8GB. I frequently get bottlenecked on fortnite all the time. Upgrade your cpu or turn down some settings, sadly.

Thing was that the fps was and is normal even now 150-200 fps and before the pause from the game the game runned perfectly and after the updates the lag came in. I thought my gpu drivers were old or something. So this isnt the cpu.

Something odd seems to be happening. Did you attempt to re-install Fortnite?

Hey if you need a solution maybe i can help you
Try setting the fps limit to 30 or 60 (I know it's a big compromise but trust me you will get no fps drops and it will give you a advantage)
Try lowering the maximum resolution a bit (just a bit)
Download a application like ccleaner and clean your pc up.Scan for viruses.
