Hey forums, I just got 16GB of 3200 RAM for my PC. I put them in, but I didn’t realize mixing RAM sticks with different voltages could cause problems. Since using only one stick from each brand hasn’t helped, my old RAM isn’t working either. I’m worried about damaging the system because of the voltage differences. What should I do to fix this?

I don't have specific details about your system or past RAM configurations. Could you provide more information or clarify what you're asking?

We require additional details. Could you share your complete specifications? Also, what occurs when you power on your PC—does it start up properly or encounter issues?

When I plug in my PC, it shuts off after a second and the screens stay blank. My setup includes: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5600x, GPU – Radeon RX 580, old RAM, Geil Evo Potenza with 8GB at 2133MHz, new RAM of 16GB (2x8) at 3200MHz, motherboard from Asrock B450 Pro4, and hope this covers the details.

Reset the CMOS using the BIOS reset pins located at the base of your board, then insert only the necessary components. Offer the Geil based on what you can obtain in return. Ryzen doesn’t tolerate hardware modifications without a BIOS reset.

I'll attempt it the next day! Appreciate the thanks! (It's now midnight, I really need some rest 😊)

I attempted to reset the system by removing the battery and connecting the pins to a RAM stick, yet it didn’t start.
