Experiencing odd performance problems on your latest PC.
Recently I upgraded to a 7800x3d with new memory and RAM. I quickly realized the system wouldn't boot properly if any EXPO profile was active. It forces me to stick to standard speeds of 4800MHz, even though it should support up to 5600MHz. That’s not a major problem—I can still use the PC normally—but there are other complications too. My monitors suddenly go black without warning, affecting both screens at once, and I can’t restore video until I restart the computer. This hasn’t occurred during gaming, but it does happen when the PC is idle or browsing. Another concern is that while playing a single game, my framerate drops to about a third of what I normally get. In Warzone at 1440p, I usually see around 200-250 FPS, but now I’m only managing 70 FPS. The issue isn’t just lower frames—it’s also causing noticeable stuttering. I’m unsure what’s causing it; I suspect the RAM might be the culprit since it doesn’t work with any EXPO profile. It could also be the GPU or even the CPU. I’ve tried reinstalling the GPU drivers using DDU, but that didn’t help. The game was reinstalled, yet the problems persist. I’m not keen on reinstalling Windows, but I’ll do so if nothing else works. Would anyone have any insights into what might be going wrong? Here’s a sample of how it looks in-game when this happens: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWVGHx_rIyk
