My PC is only three months old. I own an i5 9400f with an Asus B365M motherboard, Corsair Vengeance 8x2GB 2400MHz dual channel PSU, an RTX 2060 MPS gaming graphics card, a HP 22es 60Hz monitor, and a 1TB WD Blue SSD. All my games now have microstuttering and screen tears. Titles like GTA 5 worked fine on my old build (FX6300 GTX1050TI with 8GB DDR3 RAM), but now they cause stutters. Is the issue with my monitor (60Hz only) or will it improve if I switch to an SSD? I've tried everything possible but haven't found a solution. Windows 10 was reinstalled recently and all drivers seem updated. Performance and temperatures are stable on both components. Please help. It's really frustrating.

Ac Odyssey causes excessive microstutters making it unplayable. In-game benchmarks show clear upward and downward spikes, matching the stutter moments. Even Battlefield 5 experiences stutters on dx12 with RTX enabled, though less so on dx11. My system seems stable for these titles, as shown in YouTube clips. FIFA 20 typically has only 3-4 minor stutters per match, while Red Dead Redemption 2 runs smoothly with occasional lag. Console settings on CS feel a bit sluggish at default. Games like Mafia 3 perform well with VSync.

The problem lies with the 60Hz monitor, as its refresh rate is limited and dropping below 60fps causes noticeable stuttering. You can adjust the settings in the NVIDIA control panel to enable low latency mode at ultra, which reduces CPU load while enhancing frame rates.

One of the problems? What do you think about the other issues? I'll try the low latency mode tomorrow. Played Crisis 3 for around 30 minutes with in-game vsync on and the settings adjusted to fxaa. No issues arose. In FIFA 20, I set the in-game FPS to unlimited and enabled vsync via the NVIDIA control panel. Stuttering has noticeably decreased. Still feels like vsync might be making the game lag when it looks like it should be smooth.

my monitor was 60 hz, and everything worked smoothly until monster hunter world dropped below 60 fps. that caused noticeable stuttering. using a 144 hz free sync monitor resolved the problem completely, though it helped with tearing rather than stuttering. v-sync assists with tearing but not with stuttering. i strongly suggest a 144 hz monitor, but keep the size under 25 inches—larger models often have stretched pixels and a poor image quality.

I chose the LG ultragear 24gl600f 144hz. Nvidia GPUs now allow AMD Freesync, which is helpful. G-Sync displays are quite costly.

Updated: Added a new M.2 SSD, set up the OS, and tried playing some games. The Ac Odyssey issue is now resolved a lot, but FIFA 20 keeps stuttering even when capped at 60 FPS.
