Hi! I’m just beginning, because English isn’t my first language. So some things might sound off. I searched for help on Swedish tech forums and tried to find a solution, but nothing worked. I bought a new computer in October 2022, and this problem started on December 2nd, 2022. I’ll share the details at the bottom. I’ve played CS:GO for about 4,000 hours, and suddenly it began to fail one night. I’ve never seen anyone experience this before, even Steam support didn’t know how to help. My issue is that CS:GO crashes randomly, but only when I’m in the purchase menu inside the game. It happens when I buy certain weapons—never when I buy gear, grenades, or pistols—but it can also occur elsewhere. It crashes after just clicking on weapons, purchasing them, right-clicking to go back, or pressing escape. It doesn’t happen when I use bindings for items like Kevlar, grenades, or AK/M4/AWP. This occurs on Faceit, esportal, and official servers, as well as casual and offline ones with bots. Every time this happens, a big .MDMP file appears in my CS:GO folder. I’ve reinstalled the game, updated drivers, checked the cache, and tried everything. It only happens under these specific conditions and in CS:GO. My PC runs perfectly normally outside of this event. I’ve found, installed, and learned how to read the .MDMP file with WinDbg. From what I see, it points to an error code: (ERROR_CODE: 0xc0000005). I don’t know if I’m on the right track or not, but I don’t have a clear fix. I’ll share some screenshots for reference. Keep in mind, some parts of this text are in Swedish—let me know if you need anything translated.

My PC specs: Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact MSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 Intel Core i7-12700K / 12 Cores / 20 Threads / 3.6 Ghz ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 3080 10GB Gaming OC V2 (LHR) Corsair RM850X 2021 / 850W / 80+ Gold Kingston Fury Beast 32GB (2x16GB) / 3600MHz / DDR4 / CL18 / KF436C18BBK2/32 Samsung 980 Pro series SSD 1TB M.2 (MZ-V8P1T0) - OS IS ON THIS DRIVE Kingston Fury Renegade M.2 2TB SSD - Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black

The instruction p 0x%p pointed to memory p 0x%p. Memory access failed. That is the message following "ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005".

Hi! It sounds like you're not in the mood to reinstall Windows. The game works fine as it is, and I’ve got some items pre-bought so I don’t have to keep searching. I’m also hoping the CS2 release will fix my issue this summer if I don’t find a workaround.

I'm ready to assist, but I need you to provide the actual dump files since I can't attach them directly. Please share the files, and I'll include them in the response.

Do you currently have antivirus or any other third-party protection software set up? In any case, the most effective approach is to send a ticket directly to Valve rather than using PR proxies.

Have you attempted executing "sfc /scannow" in a command prompt? Additionally, consider reinstalling your physical RAM sticks.
