Experiencing issues with connecting Windows 11 Desktop to Ethernet.
Hello everyone, I'm looking for assistance with connecting my Windows 11 machine to Ethernet. I have a Netgear AX6700 router connected via an ATT gateway in bridge mode, installed through walls. Wi-Fi functions properly on this setup, but Ethernet keeps showing "unidentified network." I know it works for other devices using the same cables, switch, and router. I've tried running ipconfig /flushdns, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Additionally, I'm setting up port forwarding for a few servers I host for friends to help stabilize my gaming experience. The Wi-Fi is strong and fast, though not as reliable as I'd prefer. Thanks!
You mentioned connecting another device to the same cable as the existing setup, which is showing "unidentified network" but no issues. Have you attempted power cycling the router and gateway? Also, consider executing specific commands; if they fail, a network reset might help.
