Yesterday and the previous night, I was using my PC normally for work and gaming. At the end of the night I powered it off without any updates or issues. The next morning I turned it on again and everything seemed fine until I noticed my screen wasn’t showing anything. I also observed strange flickering on the LCD of my Gigabyte Aurous 3070 Ti, which keeps repeating. I haven’t seen this animation before and don’t know its meaning. Only briefly did the LED lights on the card light up when power was applied. I’ve inspected all cable connections to ensure they’re secure, tested different display cables without success, and even tried a second monitor connected directly to my motherboard without any change. I’m currently stuck and can’t perform any software installation.

The cracking egg animation is the standard display effect for the LCD screen on Gigabyte cards. A return to this setting might indicate a hardware problem. Would you like to try a different GPU for testing? Also, consider performing a power cycle and resetting the CMOS.

Thanks for your response. Appreciate you clarifying what the cracking egg is. I haven’t seen it in the two years I’ve had the card, so it looks brand new. I managed to get it functioning after checking the "Power on, no POST" thread and using the pin jump method for the CMOS clear. Once I shared this, I decided to remove the CMOS battery just for fun and let it rest for about ten minutes. After that, the battery came back in and everything worked again. Now I need to reconfigure my BIOS, but at least I’m no longer dealing with a four-figure paperweight on my desk.
