Hey team, sorry for the old post. My Sony 3D TV glasses stopped working—they only function when plugged in directly, which means the battery is definitely dead. I know it’s not a common issue, but these things cost around $90 new and I can’t confirm if the old stock batteries are still good. I searched everywhere for replacement instructions, checked Sony’s website, looked through service manuals, watched all the 3D glasses videos on YouTube, but nothing useful turned up. It feels like finding help online from a decade ago is nearly impossible now. All the videos I saw were about brand-new models and didn’t offer repair advice. I tried the manual reset method again, but only got reviews of new units with little repair guidance. The IFixit site even denied their existence. My goal was to avoid more waste from something that could be fixed with a simple battery change. If anyone has any tips or parts info, please share. I found a video on YouTube about a battery replacement, but the translation was poor and it only mentioned newer models—not this one. The model I’m using is the Sony TDG BR250; its battery plugs into a mini USB port on the right side near the ears. It lights up green when connected and works with a cable plugged into the wall. If you detach the cable, it stops working completely. There are only two screws around the nose, which I removed and saw no sign of damage—just tight tabs holding everything together. I’m hoping someone can help me open it safely or find a workaround. Thanks in advance for your support!

Probably nobody was there to assist, so they headed off into the bin.
