Using a Ryzen 3 1200 processor, an RX 460 with 4GB of VRAM, 8GB of RAM, and a traditional hard drive, I'm running Crysis 3. I’ve configured my graphics to maximum settings, utilizing SMAA2TX at a resolution of 1920x1080. While I consistently maintain over 30 frames per second during the game’s most demanding scenes, my average FPS dips to around 20 with a corresponding decrease in GPU usage throughout the entire game. I haven’t observed these frequent frame rate fluctuations in any online gameplay footage. Specifically, “The Root of All Evil” level becomes completely unplayable due to severe frame drops. I’ve attempted boosting my system's performance through Windows’ high-performance mode and overclocking my CPU up to 3.8GHz, but these efforts haven't yielded any improvement. I’m seeking assistance.

That’s referred to as a skybox test; you need to gaze upwards towards the heavens.

Greetings ishaankaushik,

If you’re running at 1080p resolution, your graphics card will be beneficial, but the processing unit is likely the limiting factor, so you might consider overclocking and potentially gaining a few additional frames per second. You are achieving typical performance, as demonstrated in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaITwoNq0YU; to obtain higher frame rates, consider reducing graphical settings or investing in new hardware.

The RX 460 won't deliver exceptional performance; I could likely reach the level of an RX 480, but only without using SMAA (which tends to be limited by processor speed).

Furthermore, Crysis remains the game that pushes graphics cards to their limits.

Do not anticipate exceptional performance with the RX 460; I could only achieve maximum capability using an RX 480 without utilizing SMAA (SMAA is limited by CPU processing if my understanding is correct).

Indeed, Crysis remains the game that pushes hardware to its limits. However, I am curious about how my system was able to run smoothly in the “WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE” level, which is considered the most demanding part of the game according to various measurements.

Certainly not, that’s referred to as a skybox test—you need to view upwards.
I wasn't aware of that, thank you for clarifying. I observed something noteworthy. My hard drive was operating at SATA 2 speeds, which likely contributed to the occasional pauses, though I’m uncertain about it. My hard disk is actually a SATA 3 device. Furthermore, I plan to reduce my game settings slightly in an attempt to achieve smoother frame rates. Appreciate your assistance.

Experiencing stuttering issues (in addition to various other games) while utilizing my GTX 1070 and Ryzen 5 1600 @3.8 GHz with the most current Windows version, drivers, motherboard firmware, and Ultra settings at 1920x1080 resolution alongside SMAA2TX. Despite maintaining over 60 frames per second, I encounter stuttering upon loading a match and sporadically throughout gameplay. I’m unsure whether this problem is stemming from the Ryzen processor or if Intel users are similarly affected.
