Experiencing difficulty maintaining a consistent frame rate of 60 frames per second or higher in Warzone.
Hello everyone,
I’ve been working to improve my frame rate on my PC for Call of Duty: Warzone. Initially, when I installed the game, I only had a single 8GB RAM module, and it was completely unplayable at best with 10-30 frames per second. Today, I added two additional 8GB Corsair RAM sticks, which has noticeably increased performance to a consistent 40-50 fps – however, it still feels somewhat choppy and I’m hoping to achieve 60+ frames during intense combat situations. My central processing unit consistently reaches 100% utilization while playing this game, leading me to question whether it’s the bottleneck. I'll list my system specifications below and would appreciate any recommendations on potential upgrades that might boost my FPS.
Here are my specs:
* CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 @ 3.20 GHz
* RAM: 16GB DDR3
* Motherboard: Gigabyte H81M-S2H (BIOS F2)
* Monitor 1: ZOWIE XL LCD (1920x1080 @ 59Hz) (Nvidia)
* Monitor 2: PHL 253V7L (1920x1080 @ 60Hz) (Intel)
* GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 960 4GB
* GPU 2: Intel Integrated Graphics
* HDD: 1TB Seagate ST1000DM003-1SB10C
* PSU: ThermalTake Litepower 550watt
I’ve disabled unnecessary startup programs, closed most applications when playing Warzone, cleaned my computer with CCleaner, set Warzone’s performance settings to high, and yet I'm still unable to achieve smooth frame rates.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
If your central processing unit is operating at maximum capacity, it’s likely the limiting factor.
Could you tell me what percentage your graphics card is currently using?
And, what game settings are you employing? (low, medium, high, or ultra)
