In recent games I’ve played, I sometimes let a movement key slip and my character keeps going in one direction, while in others it doesn’t work. For instance, PIXEL titles like Children of Morta behave differently than titles such as Call of Duty or Halo. I have an i7 13700kf and an Asus Tuf 4070. There’s no obvious spike in CPU usage, so it probably isn’t the processor load. I haven’t checked GPU usage closely, but I feel like my system handles light tasks well even with background apps. It seems odd that a second monitor at different refresh rates—140Hz and 170Hz—would cause issues, especially since I’m not sure if the GPU is struggling. I’ve tried changing window modes, reducing settings, and adjusting display options, but nothing seems to fix the problem. Anyone have any suggestions? I’ve been searching online for days without finding a clear solution.

Is the behavior consistent? Does it happen every time you move in these games or only sometimes? What peripherals are you using? Specifically keyboard. Is there any software that's running alongside it?

It only shows random motions at first, then suddenly starts moving straight into a wall for about three seconds. The keyboard has RGB backlighting, which is fine on the board, but there’s no software available for it. It looks like this issue started recently, and I’ve been using it for a while now.

I also have a different keyboard ready to use, but I'm having trouble locating it right now.

It seems there might be a problem with the keyboard input, possibly due to debouncing or ghosting. Try testing it with a better device.
