Verify the manufacturer of your motherboard to find out if any new drivers are available. This could be useful.

It didn't show any impact. The unusual part is the initial BSOD appears when working on an update, freezing at 30%, then jumping to 43% during the second reboot, effectively reversing any modifications made.

Try reinstalling Windows. It looks like the update feature isn't working on your computer...

This happened on my older PC during an upgrade to Windows 10. I thought it was just checking my graphics card, CPU, and memory. After reinstalling the GPU driver, it worked temporarily but then crashed again. I switched to a different PC with the same CPU and updated my license, which fixed everything. It seems the issue might be related to the CPU not being seated correctly or something else. If it doesn’t work now, I’m going to remove all my cards and CPU, clean everything, and reassemble it carefully. It’s a bit painful.

Exactly what I did followed the guidance from Microsoft Support, though it didn’t change much. This time the screen stopped flashing before the BSOD appeared. It seems the Sound Blaster Z might not be compatible with the latest version or could be interfering. I wondered why this update was applied if my hardware wouldn’t work with the newest Windows 10 release. Maybe I should try it, but I’m sure my CPU, RAM, and GPU are functioning normally—though the CPU still shows some thermal issues when used more. Still, nothing seems to be wrong according to the system.
