Since purchasing my first 7800xt in September 2023, I've frequently encountered black screen crashes (with system reboot). After the Black Friday sales, I upgraded to a completely new PC, including a different model from Powercolor, yet the same problem persists. Both systems ran the latest drivers. My previous setup had: CPU: i5-11400, RAM: 16 GB (no XMP), PSU: XPG Core Reactor 850W, 2 TB SSD. Now my build uses: CPU: Ryzen 7 7700X, RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 32GB (QVL), PSU: FSP Hydro-G Pro 1000W, 4 TB NVMe SSD. The same black screen issue continues on both builds. I even tried connecting my GTX 1070 to the new PC to check for memory or CPU problems, but it worked perfectly. I managed to play a game for hours without crashes, which usually happens in just 10-15 minutes. I ran Testmem5 overnight with no memory errors. I've tested everything: DDU, MPO disable, UPLS disable, Freesync disable, VRR disable, GPU underclocking at 92%, and reinstalled Windows 10/11. Disabling c-states sometimes resolves crashes, but not always. This issue never occurs with my GTX 1070 on the exact configuration I have. For reference: PROCESS_NAME: theHunterCotW_F.exe READ_ADDRESS: ffffffffffffffff ERROR_CODE: 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. EXCEPTION_CODE_STR: c0000005 EXCEPTION_PARAMETER1: 0000000000000000. I've eliminated all other components since the GTX 1070 works fine on this build. I'm considering a driver-related problem but want advice from others who use 7800xt without issues.

You recently disabled Expo and played a game for over an hour on your 1070 with Expo turned on. It ran smoothly for most of the time but would crash after about 10 minutes. You're wondering if a more powerful GPU changes memory timing behavior, especially since you used the same game settings without issues before.
