So a few nights back I was using my computer and experienced a power surge caused by severe weather, which damaged something inside. My friend who helped me assemble the system told me the CPU or motherboard might be faulty. I suspect the motherboard isn’t completely broken since it powers on and everything connected works. I don’t have any screens, but all plugged-in devices are functioning. Is the issue limited to the CPU? If so, replacing it should be straightforward. Also, I’m trying to replace my current CPU with this one because of a sale, hoping to save money while it’s available. If anything goes wrong with that replacement, please let me know. EDIT: I didn’t mention that my RGB keyboard isn’t turning on at all—it still works but seems disconnected. It’s connected to an old laptop I’m using temporarily.

I tried changing the graphics card as suggested, but it still doesn’t appear. No one else seems to know what’s going on. I’m considering getting a tech expert to help, but any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Did you perform simple checks? The 5600g should fit your motherboard, but you’ll need to update the BIOS. Still, it’s wiser to identify the issue first. Could the PCIe slot be damaged?

I'm not sure about handling hardware issues on my own. The graphics card is the only way to see things clearly. My motherboard's HDMI port didn't work when it came out.
