It's hard to tell if you purchased this PC or assembled it. I understand this problem well, but if you bought it, returning it and replacing it would be a good idea. If you built it:
- Make sure your motherboard’s UEFI is updated to the newest release.
- Do you have a riser card or cable inside the case? If yes, take it out and test again.
- Running four MemTest cycles won’t catch minor memory problems that might affect the GPU.
- It could point to a faulty motherboard, CPU, or both—troubleshooting these parts can be tricky.
- You might try slightly raising the DRAM voltage and see if it improves stability.
- A possible fix: Set up an Adrenaline profile for each game, lowering the clock speed by about 200 MHz. This often helps.
- If nothing changes and crashes remain unaffected, the issue likely lies with the RAM, CPU, or motherboard itself.

I selected the parts myself, but the shop provided a build and testing service which I used. I sent the PC back because I found other issues: a large, deep scratch on the case (noticed after taking off the glass panel). I didn’t assign fault to anyone—this was just brought to their notice. Why did I open it? Because I saw the heatsink or branded ADATA plate of the NVME drive at an odd angle, and after touching it, it separated from the rest of the drive. It seemed stuck far back due to a screw, which gave enough torque to release the heatsink. This happened because the adhesive had weakened after warming up the component.

The main concern is this: the branded heatsink is coming off. With the PC being less than a week old and the GPU failing despite updated drivers, I thought RMA was the best option. The service should include compatibility checks—RAM, motherboard, cooler, CPU, PSU, TDP, etc. But they admitted they weren’t thorough because the build was rushed during the holiday.

I also read that updating the UEFI to the latest version helps. This has already been done.

If you have a riser card or cable, remove it and test. I wouldn’t hesitate to try it.

Regarding voltage tweaks: I changed the DRAM profiles to 6000MHz (Expo), 5600MHz (Expo) and 4800MHz (default). Voltages varied with frequency, but the most stable profile was the default, which had the lowest voltage.

A workaround I tried: set Adrenaline profiles per game and lower clock speeds by about 200 MHz. It worked for some games, though crashes remained.

Still confused—why would I adjust settings on a “default” system? I’m not overclocking or undervolting; I just want to enjoy the product and games. Also, when I entered custom tuning, my clock was set to around 2630MHz, but the manufacturer says max is 2520MHz. They said this is normal underload, but since the default seems to push it beyond limits, it could be the RAM, CPU, or motherboard issue.

They were very understanding and mentioned that about 3 out of 10 DDR5 PCs have instabilities, usually due to RAM problems and often requiring RMA. I wish they had told me sooner before I became stressed.

You're experiencing the same issue on your PC too. The biggest challenge is reproducing the problem reliably. Sometimes the black screen appears repeatedly, other times it doesn't happen at all—especially when you're using PoE2.

No one has discovered a solution yet, and you're experiencing the same problems.

I swapped the card for another provider's branding.
