I understand you're looking for alternatives to a USB dongle. A PCIE expansion card could offer improved connectivity and better performance without adding another USB port. If you have experience with such setups, sharing your findings and preferred brands would be helpful. Let me know if you'd like advice on what to avoid.

I've consistently preferred PCIe over USB. From my perspective, PCIe offers superior stability, while the specialized external antennas provide better connectivity and reach. I've experienced success using TP Link for network expansion cards.

They all don’t work well. PCIe is the better choice. I went through three different cards/dongles, but ended up purchasing one from Gigabyte/Aorus that’s overpriced. It functions properly and I haven’t faced any issues. The key takeaway is to buy from a trusted brand and verify compatibility with your operating system before returning it.

They utilize USB for Bluetooth functionality, which explains the separate USB connector. Bluetooth operates exclusively via USB, while WiFi supports both PCIe and USB connections.

Hey, I realized today that my previous thoughts were based on Wi-Fi card experiences, but a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card still required a USB connection. That’s exactly what I expected! Appreciate the details!

Consider a device that combines WiFi 6 and Bluetooth in a PCIe card. It can deliver strong Bluetooth coverage and possibly improve your Wi-Fi performance. Check out the ASUS PCE-AX58BT; its antenna performs well, and placing it high will enhance Bluetooth reach.

I understand. I've tried several USB Bluetooth adapters, but the signal quality was weak and inconsistent. The PCIe cards usually come with antennas that help extend the range.

I’d prefer an Intel AX210-based board since it outperforms the AX200 and includes WiFi 6e. The antenna choice is also a must.
