Telus offers a complimentary Wi-Fi hotspot just 40 meters away, but you're having trouble connecting from that spot. Moving about 6 feet closer improves the signal. Would there be a Wi-Fi repeater or similar device available that could extend your connection using your mobile phone?

You might also consider a Wi-Fi extender, though it operates as a hotspot. Setting it up usually requires knowing the network details and having direct access.

Repeaters extend Wi-Fi coverage by boosting weak signals and forming a fresh network. Each device has a unique name and password for access, similar to standard Wi-Fi. However, using a free hotspot won’t reliably expand its reach.
