I noticed an unusual entry on Geekbench today. A Mac Pro with a 12900K (unofficially supported), featuring 24 cores. It might be included in upcoming Mac Pros or used to conceal a new CPU. See the link: https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/12295273

It clearly shows an incorrect measurement. The score matches the 12900K benchmark as well.

It's a common question about the Mac Pro's specifications. The 12.9 GHz processor is part of its high-performance capabilities, designed for demanding tasks like video editing and rendering.

The listing you saw isn't specific to Apple; it's just an incorrect reading from a program. Hacking into systems is possible.

It's a hackintosh setup. OpenCore fully backs 12th generation. Plus, Acidentera confirms it's a hackintosh.

Additionally, macOS lacks functionality to differentiate between P-cores and E-cores in the x86 architecture.

It's merely tallying the total threads and treating them like physical cores because it's a hackintosh.
