I just got Windows 10 and it includes Cortana, but it doesn’t work in New Zealand. You have some extra Windows apps you’d like to remove, but they won’t delete. Is there a solution for that?

You can turn it off and prevent it from starting background tasks in the Apps settings. However, there’s no genuine method to fully eliminate it since it’s built into Windows. The only true solution is to perform an unofficial Windows reinstall where it was previously installed. That approach comes with its own set of challenges.

You have the option to turn off Cortana, and I'm not sure why you're interested in using it.

It's quite strange—it wasn't available in my previous version. In New Zealand, we can't use it, which is pretty odd since it seems unnecessary. All the programs without an uninstall feature can't be removed?

Essentially, that's correct. The optimal approach is to disable the background process option for these applications.
