For all the Mass Effect enthusiasts out there, congratulations on N7 Day! We're eager to hear more about what's coming next in the series. While the original ME3 ending was disappointing and the extended cut fell short, the Citadel DLC proved to be a solid addition. It offers some optimism that Bioware might deliver quality content again.
They should just drop a fresh version of ME "3" and wrap up strong this time. Just thinking about how far we've come, realized the past two attempts don’t change anything, got really frustrated and quit. I thought sticking to flawless playthroughs would guarantee a perfect ending, but now I’m determined to finish it properly instead of giving up.
You’re missing out after halfway through, losing valuable time and quality play over 30 minutes. Would you prefer watching the conclusion yourself? Bioware mentioned consequences matter, but it’s time we stop focusing only on short-term gains. In the climax, you launch a full-scale attack and still doubt that assisting Mr. X with his stabilizers matters for the outcome? Not really. The ending could have been better, but honestly, if someone keeps calling the ME3 conclusion bad without solid reasons, I’d be extremely wealthy right now.
The developers faced a choice: stick to the original plan or explore new directions. This led to varied outcomes depending on player choices in the first two chapters. - Casey Hudson The ending we got included subtle changes in color and was only slightly altered. I believe Casey Hudson's claim is completely misleading and enough to spark frustration. The conclusion also contains several inconsistencies about the Mass Relay and Crucible, showing a lack of attention to the universe's logic. It's been over two years since ME3, and many stronger arguments have emerged, making it pointless to keep debating now.
It was disappointing because nothing in the earlier titles held any real weight, no matter what you tried. The games initially focused on personal choice and letting your decisions shape the outcome, but they eventually discarded that concept, turning the core idea of all three into a frustrating oversight.
I really enjoyed Mass Effect 3. There were many excellent and satisfying experiences. The ending wasn’t my favorite, but it doesn’t affect how much fun I had playing.
