I chose to assemble a computer and have been working on gathering a component checklist that’s available at PCPartPicker. The list includes various parts such as a CPU, motherboard, RAM, storage, graphics card, power supply, monitor, and peripherals. Prices are shown with approximate values and sources. Overall the total comes to around $731.60 after taxes, shipping, and discounts. Let me know if you need any adjustments or more details!
I’d recommend considering another GPU. I faced issues with the RX570 and RX580 drivers, so I went downgrading to a GTX1050. Just keep in mind, if you find any other GPUs nearby, you might want to look into them too.
If you have an additional $20 I’d choose this option. I discovered a B450 board that includes a built-in WiFi card. It also provides a more recent GPU and increased RAM. I reduced the storage size but switched it to an SSD. I’d suggest going with a smaller SSD for a short time, then add more hard drive space later instead of upgrading your main drive to an HDD. PCPartPicker has the parts list.
I’m uncertain about the future sustainability of 4/8 in gaming. It offers strong value for a modest budget, yet it struggles with content built for 6/6 due to the /8 architecture. Once new consoles arrive, they’ll likely shift to 7/14. 4/8 can still handle 7, but 4/4 is facing major challenges and may not support 14 at all. The situation remains uncertain.
