I own two x5667 units, one that's disabled but equipped with the jumper, plus a 2GB RAM stick for testing purposes. I also have extra storage available.

I requested the memory model number since certain DDR3 modules aren't compatible with this board. Some kits are tailored for AMD systems and won't fit Intel setups. Remember the memory you own and confirm it's intended for AMD devices.

I've tried everything on the Supermicro X8DTU-F, so I'm moving to a more powerful board. That's why I thought I didn't need the EPS connectors anymore.

The 8-pin connection is confirmed. The 6-pin serves as an auxiliary for overclocking. I believe it's better to opt for a genuine 8-pin instead of the adapter version, even though I understand it might not be ideal. I don't see any issues with it, and I've used them before, but eliminating the PSU possibility could help. Ideally, a higher wattage setup with the proper 8-pin would be best.
