Running games with default settings causes screen tearing in injustice1, Minecraft with shaders, and Sonic DX. Everything is using the built-in graphics driver on my system. I'm using Ubuntu 16.04. The NVIDIA driver isn't open source. Minecraft runs smoothly at over 200 frames per second with shaders in 1080p, but injustice1 and Sonic are capped at 30 scenes and 60 frames per second. Why does this happen? Also, my system has an 8086k CPU and an SSD—this doesn’t seem to be the main issue.
I check my monitor’s resolution and frame rate regularly. For G-Sync, it’s about syncing your gaming or display settings to reduce motion blur. Free options usually refer to basic software or services that help manage these features.
My GPU is installed on a 6GB RAM stick connected to the PCIe slot nearest the CPU cooler. Regarding your question about system information, it was included after your previous messages.
