Think you were quoting me there
@Mrgr74
, might be wrong but if you were, yeah i do agree with you. For what is asked, spending on upgrades is the only real solution. How to go about that is up for discussion.

This response seems to be a convoluted and extended attempt at a joke/bargaining scenario, likely stemming from a misunderstanding of context. It's filled with irrelevant details about computer components and a bizarre offer for money.

Here’s a rewritten version focusing on the core idea – a request for help setting up something new:

“Could you please help me set this up? I need to install [Software/Device] and make sure all the drivers are correct. I'm hoping you can walk me through it, as I’m not very familiar with the process.”

Look at prices for 6700/7700 new/second hand and go from there. Wouldn't buy another i5 cpu.

Yes i know, but you're restricted to 6700 or 7700, those are your only upgrade choices for your board. After that is an 8th or 9th gen intel requiring a new board.

This text provides advice on upgrading a CPU, focusing on 7th generation Intel processors and their compatibility with different motherboards. It emphasizes the importance of selecting an appropriate cooler – specifically recommending thermal paste and a heatsink – due to the higher heat output of i7 CPUs. The text also briefly discusses alternative processor generations (6700) and highlights that even older models like the 7700 can be compatible with updated BIOS versions on 100 series motherboards, offering guidance on choosing between different options based on existing hardware and cooling needs.

I came from 2400Mhz 1x8 ... Maybe with just that I can make a little time meanwhile the recommended specs dont "grow"...
What you think about it?...
And agame, about the two cpu's, wich one will you reakky choose, not couting with the software update maybe, wich one will have a better performance on this pc?

Go for 6700
Maximum ram speed your mobo will run at is 2133.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B150M-BA...cification
2x 8GB 2133 will still be significant being that there's more ram and dual channel.
It's up to you if want to spend less on 2133 ram or you can get 3000 ram, run them at 2133 for now, and possibly reuse them (at 3000) in a newer system in future if you decide to upgrade motherboard to avoid buying ram again for the speed. 3000MHz is the sweet spot on newer motherboards.
