Components: ASUS DUAL RX 5700 EVO OC AMD Ryzen 5 5600 B550-D3SH ASUS ROG-STRIX-550G 2x8 gb of some RAM (irrelevant to the problem) Random restarts while gaming have occurred since installing the RX 5700, and it was previously used. The seller also experienced similar problems and didn’t use it for mining. Their previous graphics card was a GTX 1030, which never triggered Event ID 41. The RX 5700 runs well with proper cooling and seems to function normally during Furmark. It only shuts down unexpectedly when gaming, possibly due to power issues in the GPU or motherboard after installation. I don’t suspect the motherboard or PSU since the seller had identical problems with a 750W PSU that likely had better specs. One simple way to recreate this is by joining VRChat and entering a public world. The frame rate stays steady, everything works smoothly, but it randomly restarts with a green screen. I contacted the seller, who suggested GPU overclocking might be the cause despite setting power limits via Adrenaline software. I’m unsure if that’s the real problem, as the software can also fail unpredictably. What I need is to identify exactly what’s wrong and whether there’s a fix or workaround. All other parts are functioning perfectly.
