About three months ago, I purchased a new PC to upgrade my GPU to a 3060. Over the course of those three months, I’ve returned to a machine that completely stopped working. This is unusual since I usually put it in sleep mode, so I didn’t have to wait for it to boot up. This morning, when I turned it on again, it shut down once more. I checked the Event Viewer to find the issue and saw the same error as before—just a single event this month indicating an unexpected shutdown due to lost power. I considered the possibility that my power supply might have failed, but it didn’t; all clocks—stove, microwave, alarms—were functioning normally. Still, I’m uncertain about next steps beyond swapping out the PSU. It’s performing well, games run smoothly, and shutdowns only occur after hours of inactivity (like when I’m asleep). It hasn’t stopped during long gaming sessions or while watching movies, editing, or uploading files. I do have a 600W PSU that’s 250W more than the current one. However, I’ve hesitated to replace it because the wiring would look unprofessional. The alternative PSU is less attractive, with visible cables on the front. Should I really replace the PSU? Is this the most likely cause? Are there other solutions I could try before giving up? As aesthetics matter but cost is a concern (my $1,800), I’d appreciate any advice. I’ve searched online, but most responses seem limited. I included a screenshot of the error, though nothing useful came up because most reports say 0 issues. I should note that I recently tried reinstalling Windows, thinking it might fix the problem—though it worked for nearly two months. My specs are: GPU – RTX 3060, CPU – Ryzen 5 5600G (I also have a 7,2700 in another), and a 600W Bronze PSU. I only upgraded RAM to 32GB Hyper X 3500MHz and have a 1TB Western Digital drive. The original build was a 30L HP Omen case; I haven’t changed anything else beyond the RAM yet.**

I'm also thinking about power issues in my home. The previous PC I had experienced this a few times, but it wasn't as regular—maybe once or twice a year could cause some odd shutdowns compared to three times in three months. Also, the first two happened close together, and then the last one was about two months apart from the others.
