I'm checking the link you shared for more details. Right now, my PC is consuming a lot of RAM—70 to 74 percent. Recently it's dropped to 50 to 65 percent. The Task Manager shows less than 6 GB being used, but the performance tab says over 5 GB. Firefox seems to be using more than 4 GB across several processes. I noticed this deal was available at a discount, but I'm unsure if upgrading would help. Please let me know if you need further clarification before the offer ends today.

What processor are you using? Additionally, would it be better to purchase another 8GB RAM module instead? It’s significantly cheaper that way.

I have a Ryzen 2400G processor. I didn’t plan to buy more RAM at the moment; I was considering swapping out my existing one. I’m not sure if adding another 8GB will really help, since there might be other issues affecting my system. My previous usage was very high and kept increasing even with just an 8GB stick, but now it’s rising again after about nine months. The stats don’t seem to make much sense these days.

Ryzen gains from quicker clock speeds and improved performance when using dual-channel memory (two RAM sticks). If you already have 16 GB, it should work well. Adding 3200 MHz RAM is optional—it can enhance your processor and especially the graphics if integrated graphics are enabled—but isn't essential. RAM remains available even if usage reaches 90-95%. Firefox handles multiple tabs as separate processes; a crash in one tab doesn’t affect others, similar to Chrome. This leads to higher memory consumption overall, but it’s more efficient in the long run. Browser memory spikes often come from long-running tabs with JavaScript active. Try reducing usage by typing “about:memory” in Firefox and clicking Minimize memory usage. After roughly 10-20 seconds, you should notice a drop in memory consumption. You can also restart Firefox to reopen tabs or manually end processes in Task Manager to stop individual tabs that are consuming resources. When the browser restarts, previously opened tabs appear only when you click them.

The Ryzen 5 2400 uses part of your available RAM for its built-in GPU. This is why you notice the RAM amount changing, and it’s recommended to add more RAM for better performance. Upgrading to a 16GB package should help improve both CPU and GPU efficiency.

These figures seem unusual, don't they? After Firefox, the numbers are just tiny. It doesn’t add up to 70%. The second chart shows completely different values. By the way, I have more tabs than processes. Still, my extension count matches the number of processes. Thanks for sharing your RAM details—I have 16GB already. I’m replacing it mainly for a performance upgrade. I also got a dedicated GPU a few months back.

Don't stress about the numbers—it's just a small amount of RAM set aside for the system. I'm more concerned about Firefox consuming too much memory. Otherwise, everything should be okay. The speed improvement will help, but it won't solve the underlying issue since there isn't one.

System not available? The task manager says otherwise. Those other terms are unclear to me.
