I'm a large student. My setup was created in January of last year. The key components include a Ryzen 3 2200G and a Gigabyte gaming 4G RX570. The complete parts list can be found at the provided link. Recently, I started working on improving my VR experience. I purchased an Oculus Quest, the necessary cable, and a PCIe USB-C expansion card to run H3VR. However, many issues have arisen—input delays, frame drops, movement problems, rendering glitches, and artifacts. The Quest functions well alone but struggles when connected to my PC. Early on, I noticed that 75% of my GPU memory was being consumed by the Radeon Relive playback feature, which I turned off. This improved performance slightly, but it remained unstable. SteamVR tests indicated GPU memory was the issue, suggesting a need for a better graphics card. Some users with similar setups reported satisfactory results without upgrades, while others blamed CPU limitations due to insufficient cores and threads. I considered checking my cable, suspecting a faulty connection, and later thought about my PCIe card. The problems continued regardless of whether the cable connected directly or via adapter. I'm seeking advice on whether to sell my Quest and buy a Rift S for tethered playback, upgrade my CPU and GPU, or invest in a more robust board with a dedicated USB-C port and official Oculus cable. This would likely resolve the issues but would cost around $500–$550. What do you think? Have others faced similar challenges? Any suggestions on whether to proceed with upgrades or cut losses? 2200G is a quite affordable chip. It seems like the next step should solve some bottlenecks. Choosing 2700X over 2600X would be better for higher clock speed and more threads, offering better value for money.

I was focusing mainly on the 2600X since it's currently on sale for $100 at MicroCenter. If you don't need any other upgrades, adding more money to get a 2700X might be a good idea.
