About a month ago, I installed my new PC with the Asus TUF Gaming x570 motherboard. After connecting it to the Ethernet port at home and running a speed test, I saw around 950mbps download and upload—normal for our gigabit plan. Two to three weeks later, another test showed speeds dropping to about 150mbps download and 200mbps upload. I’m puzzled by this change. I haven’t noticed any recent downloads that could affect the adapter. I don’t think the cable is the issue, as it worked fine on my dad’s MacBook Pro using the same port. Some details: It’s a CAT6 port, and my motherboard uses the Realtek Gaming GBe Family Controller. I tried checking for driver updates, using the same cable and port on another computer, switching to full duplex in the adapter settings, and ran a virus scan—still no improvement. Any suggestions?

Hey, others aren't alone. My Asus x570 is facing the same issue with the Realtek port capping at 150Mbps during downloads from the Microsoft Store or Steam. I've managed better results on other systems.
