Ethernet speed is limited to 100 megabits per second
Hey there, I noticed your new PC is only reaching 100 Mbps on Ethernet, even though the cable supports up to 600 Mbps elsewhere. You tried tweaking settings in Device Manager and changed the negotiation mode, but the port still shows the limit. It seems like the issue might be with the driver or network configuration. Have you checked if your network adapter is properly installed and recognized? Also, consider testing with a different cable or another device to rule out hardware problems. If the problem persists, reaching out to your ISP or contacting support might help.
Start by reverting any adjustments you made to Duplex to Autonegotiate. In a properly configured setup with Gigabit devices, performance should default to full speed. The issue probably lies either with a non-Gigabit device in the line or a faulty cable.
Check the model of your network interface card and look for available drivers. It seems Windows isn’t recognizing or installing the correct one automatically.
I completely removed the driver, then downloaded the same version from the site on another device and installed it via a flash drive. It worked, apparently. Thanks for all the advice and quick replies! It looks like Windows is just behaving normally now.
