Ethernet lacks a proper IP setup
I acquired a computer from a gas station that was getting old models and brought it home. After installing the adapter, it started working properly but I didn’t want all the files from the gas station. I changed the settings through Windows, but it stopped showing files right away. After turning it off and back on, I reset it again and it worked fine. Eventually, I removed the GPU (Quadro P600) and reformatted everything. Now whenever I try to use it, it fails to display properly. There are three display ports, but none work with the new GPU. I stopped using the Ethernet after formatting and it keeps reporting a disconnected media device in the command prompt. Diagnostics say the IP isn’t valid. I’ve tried all troubleshooting steps—commands, restarts, resets, even another format—but nothing helps. I don’t have any money left and this is just a broken piece of equipment.
I would opt for the straightforward approach—create a USB drive with a current Linux distribution and start from there. If successful, look for updated Windows drivers available from there.
