Opening the control panel allows you to reach the "network and sharing center," where you can modify the Ethernet adapter settings via "change adapter settings."

Does the Wi-Fi device include a model identifier? Is it designed to join a mesh network or act as an extender? If so, it may have disconnected from your router.
