Estimate for PC Build Cost
Estimate for PC Build Cost
Alright gents, I am looking for a rough estimate on what my pc build would be worth if I sold it (used).
I bought it pre built in 2019, but have since replaced most major pieces over the course of the last four years. Nothing has been overclocked or abused.
CPU: i9 10900KF (2 yrs)
GPU: Nvidia 2070 Super (1yr)
Motherboard: MSI Z790 Tomahawk (2 yrs)
PSU: 650W (4yrs)
RAM: 2x 16gb sticks ddr4 3200 (8 months)
2x 8gb sticks ddr4 3200 (2 yrs)
Storage: 1x 500gb HDD (4 yrs)
1x 250gb SSD (2 yrs)
1x 250gb M.2 SSD (1 yr)
OS: Windows 11
The case is Cyberpower brand, not 100% sure on model. Has 3 stock fans, glass side panel, and black exterior.
Let me know if you need more info, happy to provide it. Thanks in advance!
I would estimate around $700 if it were a beginner buying without much knowledge.
if most parts are still original equipment manufacturer, that’s closer to about $400.
uncertain, possibly generic RAM;
it’s essentially worth nothing.
the mixing of two completely different sets reduces the system’s value significantly.
selling one part separately would be a better idea.
three small SSDs, also unknown so assumed generic;
could be a few dollars at most.
a 650w power supply with four years of heavy use;
worthless unless confirmed it’s a top-tier model.
without specifying these exact items, the whole build remains OEM.
generally lower quality generic, maybe worth around $25 in total.
it’s essentially worth nothing unless there’s an OEM serial attached.
in that case, perhaps around $10 because the new owner would still be stuck with the OEM version and no chance to install a fresh MS.
The system costs approximately $1200 when using your components and standard parts. The RTX 2000 line is becoming outdated as newer games release, and with DDR5 technology, your setup is no longer in the latest generation. Around $600-700 would be a reasonable price, though you could potentially get a bit more. 700 is the upper limit. Hope this was useful, stay safe.
$600 is a fair price. You could possible get more if you parted it out. You could also get less if you wanted it to sell quickly.
Estimated minimum eBay prices, deduct 10% or more for fees and handling.
$290 : i9-10900K
$185 : RTX 2070 Super
$108 : MSI Z590 Tomahawk (you said Z790, but that's not compatible with the 10900K)
$80 : RAM (You can buy 64GB DDR4 3000 for $99 NEW.)
$15 : Storage. (Nobody really wants used drives. They are so cheap new.)
$20 : PSU (What model PSU?)
$20 : Windows 11 (Can be purchased on CD Key website for about that.)
$20 : Case
Total : $738
