Hello, welcome to College. You're using a Mac with your notes and writing, and you connect to the Wi-Fi in just a couple of seconds. When you join, you see a prompt that lets you log in. That works fine—Apple is making it easier for users.

My issue is with Windows 10. I’m running Bootcamp on my machine, but there’s no similar prompt like the one on the Mac. Windows 10 doesn’t show this "ask to join" option. I’m stuck trying to connect to the internet and can’t access the network settings properly. The DNS server seems unresponsive, but I can’t log in to get it working.

How can I fix this? Why isn’t Microsoft providing a simple way to start the process like on the Mac?

Ignore the network settings, remove any DNS or options you configured, connect directly, use the edge to load a site without cache, and it should appear. If not, contact IT for a custom DNS entry.

Type "adf.ly" into adf.ly and you'll find yourself on the login page. It seems the site is working properly for you.

Initially, what impact has Apple had on that product? Next, save the URL from the Apple website and enter it into your Windows browser. You can transfer it to a different device for access via Windows (like Skype).

Remark: The site without cached files should work over HTTPS since it might cause issues.

Microsoft caught this right away—it wasn’t something you’d normally want to ignore. They’re actually catching your connection and guiding you to a specific page, which is normal for Windows since it’s the first time you’ll link up and get intercepted.

It wasn't anyone's responsibility to create a system that makes managing DNS settings difficult.

I've never seen this problem before. Usually, opening a site works fine.

I’m really going to hold Bootcamp responsible.
