I’m working on linking two ASUS AiMesh routers together using a long-distance Ethernet cable. The mesh network is currently functioning over WiFi. I set up the cabling in my home—about 20 meters with Cat7 F/FFTP cables—and used keystone jacks following T568A. For my PC, I got a connection but only received data, no IP address. The same issue appears on the mesh node. It might be a wiring or patch problem; I’m considering a cable tester and checking the connections to rule out something obvious. Need guidance for a beginner?
