Merged update – Delliejonut’s report:
Over voltage warning, no start, CPU LED illuminated.
Specs – Motherboard ASUS Prime Z270-A, PSU EVGA Nex650G, CPU i7700k.
First boot in BIOS, found CPU overclock settings and activated them for cooling. Voltage rose 15%. Restart triggered an over-voltage alert. BIOS briefly loaded before shutting down.
Restarted again; CPU LED and DRAM flash appeared in sequence but nothing happened. Restarted motherboard, rechecked connections, moved RAM, but issue persisted.

Hello, yes it has a jumper. I reset it but it didn't fix the problem. I swapped in a different MOBO of the same type and still face the same issue.

I encountered a similar issue with a brand new motherboard, the Asus Maximus Extreme IX. The BIOS required a re-flash to resolve the problem, which worked perfectly. My setup was identical to yours. After connecting the BIOS via an external USB, it booted up correctly. Good luck!
