Hi Taylor, welcome to the school! It sounds like you're facing a common networking challenge. Since both devices are on the same domain and network, the issue might be related to file synchronization settings or permissions. You could try checking the file sharing configuration in Windows or using the Network Connections app to see if there are any errors. If the problem persists, reaching out to your IT support team would be a good next step. Let me know if you need more guidance!

She aims to align files or data. The tools you're employing for this process are important. Assuming an AD account can handle automatic syncing isn't guaranteed; you must activate folder redirection and configure access for all intended users.

She’s having trouble accessing her documents folder. Everyone else seems fine, only this student is affected. Are there any specific signs or steps you should check?

Connect either device to another on the same network and determine which one is causing the issue.

You can ask how to do it, but be careful with the details. Just keep it simple and focus on what you understand.

Do you need to search for "how to sync windows folders" on Google? I’m not sure, I haven’t encountered this problem before. If it’s the only machine affected, syncing to another device might help identify the issue. That’s the most I can explain.

She has a network share configured (such as HSmile and her "My documents" folder on the PC points to that share. It’s set to be available offline. This setup means the local files are backed up but not actively synced. If you move the local files elsewhere and restart the computer while connected to the network, it may resolve the issue. Be cautious as this process can accidentally replace one version with another, leading to data loss.
