Frequency out of range. Everyone, whenever I attempt to launch DayZ, my screen goes black and displays "Frequency out of range." Restarting my computer seems necessary to resolve it. I've adjusted the launch settings to "-w 1280 -h 720 -refresh 60," but the issue persists. No one else seems to have fixed it. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead. Additional details: CPU is an AMD FX-4100 quad-core, GPU is Nvidia GTX 660, RAM is 8GB DDR3.

Based on my search, locate the DayZ.cfg file in your documents folder and rename it to DayZ.cfg.old. This should prompt the game to regenerate the file. If that fails, open the updated file and check for settings related to fullscreen or windowed mode—there should be an option like = followed by a number (1 or 0). Remove the unwanted number and replace it with the correct one. Save the changes and restart the game. It should launch in windowed mode, then adjust graphics settings and enable fullscreen if needed.

I'll do my best to adjust that now.

Did DayZ ever function properly before stopping? When you changed the configuration file, did a new version appear? Please remove any launch commands if you switch to a new config file. Can you share the contents of the config file using the "code" format here on the forum or at http://pastebin.com/
