The issue persists even after completely turning off the computer and restarting it. Switching power off via the wall outlet seems to trigger the error. Booting normally when I manually press the power button suggests a problem with the system's startup sequence. The BIOS date resetting to 2016 at midnight when logging in is unusual and may point to a configuration glitch. I've tried several fixes: updated BIOS, replaced CMOS battery, reset BIOS settings, reinstalled Windows, and even changed RAID settings. However, the storage issue remains—Windows treats only 2.82TB as a single drive despite having nearly 5TB. I’ve disassembled the system and verified all connections, but lack knowledge of RAID configurations. I’m seeking advice to resolve this without disrupting my gaming setup. Appreciate any help.

I haven't located a fix. All drives are disconnected and the issue continues. It appears to occur only after switching off the power switch on the electrical outlet and then restarting the computer upon returning from work. The system seems normal otherwise. Please let me know if you have any ideas. Appreciate your help.

No, I haven't performed any RAID or drive magic operations on your system.

From the POST screen you notice the 500gb Samsung 970 EVO M.2 is not detected. Check if it appears during Windows login and in the BIOS settings.

I received a donor Acer Windows 7 machine that exhibited this issue. The capacitor was showing signs of bulging, suggesting it might be charging slowly. — Johnsmith45 Updated August 26, 2022 by Cyberwolf

Thank you for your update. I've verified the performance on CPU, RAM, GPU, and storage drives. I haven't tested the PSU or motherboard yet because I'm unsure how to check them. I replaced the CMOS battery but didn't notice any improvement. The BIOS settings keep resetting the date and time, and logging into Windows takes around five minutes to sync. In Windows, the system uses the last time it was used as the current date and time. If this is due to a capacitor issue, I need guidance on troubleshooting it.

If the top isn’t flat, that’s a problem—review them and forward any you see.
