Reflect on the project I was working on for a friend. I found a good price on a 1050, but now something went wrong. I'm trying to finish the Win 10 Pro setup so I can test it and hand it over, but I hit a blue screen around the 13% mark during installation. It seems to be linked to fltmgr.sys. I've changed GPUs, RAM, DIMM slots, and even switched BIOS to IDE mode, yet Windows 7 still won't work. The BIOS was updated just before I went to work, but I'm not confident it helped. Any suggestions?

Most results suggest defective components, verify there isn’t a loose motherboard connector causing shorts. Disconnect and reattach all power and SATA cables; if the issue persists, it may point to CPU or motherboard problems.

I believe the CPU is the issue. I recalled that this model used an i3-530 previously, but it didn’t occur before the Xeon arrived. Luckily, the seller on eBay who bought it was willing to exchange it.
