Hey team! I just upgraded my system from 8GB RAM to 16GB using Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 C16. I added another 16GB later, but now I’m seeing some blue screens. I recall a message like “page fault in nonpaged area.” I’m confused about what to do next. I could return them since they’re new, but I don’t want to wait 3-6 weeks for them to check and send back a fresh pack. My Windows memory test also showed errors in my RAM. Any tips to fix this? If it’s not my RAM, I’m stuck. I’m running an ASUS Prime B450 A-II motherboard with a Ryzen 5600 GTX 1060 and a 3GB RAM module (MSI, 550W Gold Cooler).

When using XMP, try turning it off first—it should be disabled by default when you connect it. For testing, consider running MemTest86 or HCI MemTest; for better automation, use the 1usmus Ryzen DRAM Calculator instead, as it handles the HCI MemTest 4GB limit in the MEMBench tab. When working with four sticks, proceed by testing one at a time, starting with the newest, before attempting both. If you're aiming for four sticks overall, you might need to replace the old kit and purchase a new 2x16 unit to ensure compatibility. Generally, getting four sticks to work can be tricky, especially if you plan to add more later.

After working through 9 hours on the memtest, I gave up—it passed with no errors, but I was only about 62% through. To keep things moving, I’m planning to return and buy 32GB of new RAM instead of going for the upgrade. Thanks for the support!

Certainly, I should have noted that Memtest can take a very long time.
