I've been preparing to test a recently bought GTX 1060 with 3GB GPU. The only available option with sufficient space is a Lenovo H430 core i3, which lacks an HDD and was running Windows 7 without issues. I initially tried installing a more demanding GTX 560 to verify compatibility and ensure the new GPU would boot properly, especially considering the old PSU. The main concern was confirming the 1060's functionality.

During the boot process in the transplant machine, I encountered freezing and crashes when Windows merged during startup, resulting in a BSOD with error code 0x0000007B. Additional details followed, but this should help guide my next steps.

I performed system repair twice; the second attempt indicated it couldn't resolve the issue, causing the PC to shut down. I removed the CMOS battery as a last resort and planned to use a Windows 7 CD for repair, but was uncertain about reinstalling on the original PC. It worked successfully then.

Possible reasons for the problem might be missing drivers on the H430 or compatibility issues. Any advice would be valuable.

Lenovo H430 core i3 2120
Antec earthwatts 500D PSU
Corsair 8 GB DDR3 RAM
Single DVD
Evga GTX 560
Thank you.

Windows 7 must be installed, it cannot be transferred like Windows 8/10/11. Technically it is possible, but it involves modifying the Windows registry, which poses a risk for beginners.
