Choose Memtest86+ and keep it active until you feel confident. Any failure signals a RAM issue. Once you restart and resume, does the BSOD occur faster or slower? A bad thermal path is likely the cause. For thermal monitoring tools that track junction temperatures and package health, look for software offering detailed logging features. If you noticed no BSOD but saw strange visuals like corrupted images, it might indicate a display or storage anomaly.

I need a drive for memtest before I can run that one. I completed the integrated test and it showed no problems. Although it isn't impressive, the time to crash seems unpredictable, lasting only a few minutes. I can handle anything except playing games on it. I can even keep running the Heaven benchmark without issues. Most of the time it doesn’t reach a BSOD; instead, it freezes with strange audio (a rapid Brrrrrrrrr sound) and restarts. The crash screen appears only briefly, around 20% of the time, taking about one second.

I understand they aren't tiny, but give the alternatives another shot. If you obtain a USB stick for memtest and it shows a negative result, it likely points to software, graphics card, or power supply issues. Software is usually the simplest to replace—by using superposition or similar methods, you could build a Linux-based bootable USB stick, allowing you to switch your entire software setup just by booting from it, without needing any further cleanup afterward. What is the GPU usage while running Heaven?

Completed memory test passed. I’ll attempt a Time Spy to check performance.

I attempted to launch Time Spy. Initially, I passed the introductory test and moved on to Graphics Test 1, but it crashed and restarted. After retrying, it failed right away.

Consider testing the new GPU first and see how it performs. If it doesn’t meet expectations, return it. Policies can vary, so check beforehand.
