I changed my CPU to an R5 3600 yesterday. Only the CPU and motherboard were upgraded, nothing else. Because I had issues before, I decided to reinstall Windows at the same time. I did that. But now I keep seeing BSOD errors. I didn’t perform any overclocking. Initially, I thought my RAM was unstable after checking online, so I lowered the clock speed from 2400MHz to 2133MHz. Then I attempted a Windows Manager update, but it reported everything is up-to-date. I noticed the problem only appeared when running audio-intensive programs, not just browsing. I tried stress tests on CPU, RAM, and GPU, which completed fine for two hours. However, playing music in Groove Music or AC Odyssey caused crashes within 5 to 6 minutes. I attempted to uninstall the Realtek driver completely, but it didn’t work. I downloaded Realtek drivers from Google after some audio problems. Before that, I played Valorant for an hour, but the audio issue was my fault—no drivers were needed. I’ve been using this PC for about ten minutes without a crash. I ran audio tests briefly, and occasionally it would crash just two seconds after launching something that used sound. That includes videos, YouTube, music, and games. It never crashed during a stress test. Some error messages I received were IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL KERNEL_security_check_failure PFN_list_corrupt. I searched online and found these seem to point to driver incompatibility, RAM issues, etc. Can someone assist me? Details: R5 3600 Gigabyte B450MH, 1*4Gb DDR4 + 1*8Gb DDR4, both at 2133MHz, GTX 1660 OC Ventus, Windows 10 Pro version 1903 (version 20xx not available). Edit: Eventually resolved by switching to a different CPU. I claimed warranty and they replaced it with another 3600. It appears many R5 3600 units are experiencing the same issue. If anyone else has this problem with a 300, it might be the CPU itself.**

I removed one stick of 8GB and it still crashed. I swapped them around. Right now I'm testing again. By the way, it seems like the issue isn't the RAM—since I ran some tests with the built-in RAM tester.

I tried and removed Realtek, but it didn’t fix anything. I also reinstalled the NVIDIA driver without success. It seems the issue might be with the motherboard. The system is brand new, and I haven’t found a solution yet. I ran some GPU tests to check display drivers, but everything worked fine until the games crashed.

Confirm the completion of the second test when it is done.

It kept crashing specifically when I attempted to play Valorant and run WatchDogs 2. I can access the internet, perform benchmark tests, listen to music, etc. Right now I'm testing an NVIDIA driver released on March 19 to check for any connection.

Consider refreshing your motherboard BIOS if you haven't already.

It seems the CPU wasn’t working properly. I swapped everything except the CPU and still faced the same error. Then I tried a different one, and the issue disappeared. It appears this model is leading to similar problems for many users online.
