Error occurred after installing the new CPU cooler and power supply unit.
Hi everyone, usually I handle tech issues smoothly, but today I’m facing some challenges. I upgraded my CPU cooler and PSU recently, and everything looked fine until now. I noticed random closures of Steam and Chrome, a strange “awww snap” error in Chrome, and frequent BSODs that didn’t finish properly—just a quick flash before stopping, making it hard to see. After a full Windows 11 reinstall, the second monitor wouldn’t turn on because I needed GPU drivers installed. Then I encountered a major BSOD when signing into Chrome. My main concerns are: the GPU might have been damaged during setup and I might’ve misplaced it, and the PSU could be supplying power issues to the GPU. Anyone have ideas? Thanks!
Thanks for your patience. I followed your suggestion and used the older PSU. It looks like the system is now running smoothly. Your input was really helpful. The new PSU appears to be struggling with power consumption when connected to the GPU.
