Error: No sound card detected.
I made a small mistake and can't locate a fix for it. I attempted to install the Realtek audio driver because the sound quality wasn't as good on Windows. But after that, something probably went wrong—when I restarted my laptop, the audio disappeared. The APLAY command returned an error about no sound cards found, and the directory listing failed to access the asound directory. How can I resolve this? Should I just reinstall the ALSA driver or try another audio solution? Thanks for understanding—I'm a beginner, so sorry if this is confusing.

Your card uses an Intel chip, but you attempted to use a Realtek driver. You should remove the Realtek and reinstall the Intel version.
On Windows, I have Realtek drivers installed. I'm trying to remove them but they didn't install correctly, so I'm considering reinstalling Intel drivers instead. Let me know if you need help with that.
You may need to reinstall, as the drivers are designed for Debian. The instructions in this thread explain how to remove the driver from https://airbornesurfer.com/2015/04/how-t...-in-linux/
The 'uninstall' command encountered an issue during execution. Please review the steps or configuration.
Realtek has been fully removed, yet the Intel audio driver installation remains an issue. It seems hard to locate a solution for re-installing it. Any suggestions?
